Dr Alison Owen is a Lecturer in Health Psychology at Staffordshire University, where she completed her BSc (2008), MSc (2010), and PhD (2013). Her research focuses on body image, health promotion, and interventions addressing issues like sun protection, alcohol consumption, and breastfeeding. She has conducted media outreach on body image topics via BBC programs and radio shows. Professional memberships include the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Her research interests integrate qualitative and quantitative methods to explore societal impacts on health behaviors.
