Dr. Sarah Dean is a Senior Lecturer in Health, Education, Policing and Sciences at Staffordshire University, where she has been since 2011. She holds a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology (2018) and a PhD in Psychology from Keele University (2010), focusing on the effects of written emotional disclosure on adolescents' health. Her research emphasizes participatory action research (PAR) and creative methodologies, particularly in exploring cancer support groups and breastfeeding experiences. She is a Chartered Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the BPS, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Her academic qualifications include a BSc in Psychology and Criminology (Keele University, 2004), MSc Health Psychology (Staffordshire, 2005), and a PhD investigating adolescent health through written disclosure. She teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including the MSc Health Psychology and Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology.
