معرفی
Professor Alison Nordon is a distinguished academic in Pure and Applied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, specializing in advanced analytical methodologies and sustainable manufacturing technologies. Her work spans chemical measurement, digital design for pharmaceuticals, and energy-efficient production systems.
Her research focuses on analytical chemistry with expertise in Raman spectroscopy, ultrasonics, and particle size analysis. She develops novel measurement techniques for real-time monitoring of chemical processes, particularly in sustainable medicines manufacturing. Her fingerprint includes strong contributions to concentration measurement, sample analysis, and alternative protein characterization using infrared spectroscopy.
Notable scientific recognition includes the Royal Society University Research Fellowship (2004). Current projects demonstrate leadership in sustainable manufacturing: as Principal Investigator for Project SENSE (thermal energy exchange measurement) and Co-investigator for the EPSRC MediForge Hub (cyberphysical medicines manufacturing platform). She actively supervises research and has delivered invited presentations at major conferences including SciX 2024.
Her laboratory work integrates digital design with pharmaceutical crystallization processes, emphasizing robust control strategies and quality optimization. Recent activities include participation in the Strategic Themes: Applied AI Workshop (January 2025), demonstrating her engagement with cutting-edge computational approaches in chemical engineering.
