Dr. Alison Murray is a Lecturer in Primary Education (Health & Wellbeing) at the University of Stirling's Department of Education. Her work focuses on lifelong healthy active living, pedagogical approaches in physical education, and justice-oriented practices. She is affiliated with the National PE Taskforce (2022) and contributes to the Curriculum Improvement Cycle (CIC) interdisciplinary learning initiatives at Education Scotland. Murray’s research emphasizes affective pedagogies, embodied physical education teacher training, and metacognition through motor competency development.
Her professional activities include representation in the Curriculum Improvement Cycle Core Group (2026) and contributions to the SPARKLE (Physical Activity Research, Knowledge & Learning Exchange) and HAGIS (Healthy Ageing in Scotland) research groups.
