Alison Bayton is a Lecturer at the School of Education and Lifelong Learning, University of East Anglia. With 15 years of experience as a Primary teacher, she joined the Primary PGCE team in 2017, specializing in History, Geography, and Religious Education instruction. She previously served as a subject leader for English, RE, and PSHE, and later as Curriculum Leader on the school's Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

- Collaborates with external experts (Theatre Royal, archivists, outdoor educators)
- Develops partnerships with museums, wildlife organizations, and forest schools

Her research examines the impact of Master's-level study on teacher professional identity and university-school mentor collaboration. She also explores integrating children's migration narratives into mainstream curriculum to foster inclusive school communities.
As Placement Tutor, she leads mentor training and ensures trainee teachers transition into confident Early Career Teachers (ECTs). She serves on Norwich's City of Sanctuary Awards committee and promotes learning outside the classroom through organizational partnerships.
