Dr. Alisha Ali is an Associate Professor and Head of Research Degrees at the Department of Service Sector Management, Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University. She leads doctoral education in social sciences and previously served as Research Lead and PhD Programme Leader. Her research focuses on sustainable tourism, technology integration, and social responsibility in hospitality. She holds roles such as Chair of the Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME) and has been a guest speaker globally.
Education: Ph.D. (2010) in Sustainable Tourism ICT from Sheffield Hallam University, MSc and BSc in related fields. Recognized credentials include FHEA (Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) and CMBE (Chartered Management Business Economist).
Research interests span technology-driven sustainability, CSR in small businesses, and workplace dynamics. Recent publications address resilience strategies in tourism, team flow theory, and toxicity management. Awards include the CHME Innovation Award (2018).
