Aline Kalbian is a Professor of Religion and Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Florida State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Religion and Ethics from the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on religious ethics, particularly addressing gender, sexuality, and medicine within Catholicism. She has authored two books: Sexing the Church: Gender, Power, and Ethics in Contemporary Catholicism and Sex, Violence, and Justice: Contraception and the Catholic Church. From 2011 to 2021, she co-edited the Journal of Religious Ethics.
