Alice Sibelli is a Researcher at the Health Psychology Section within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King's College London. She holds a part-time PhD focusing on emotional processes in refractory IBS patients undergoing CBT, supervised by Prof. Rona Moss-Morris, Prof. Trudie Chalder, and Dr. Hazel Everitt. Her work combines clinical research with self-management intervention development for chronic conditions like IBS and epilepsy.
Education: MSc Health Psychology (Distinction, University of Southampton, 2009); BSc (Hons) Psychology (Cum Laude, Universidad de Monterrey, 2007).
Research interests center on improving quality of life through theory-based interventions, particularly in gastrointestinal disorders and pediatric epilepsy. She leads a multicenter randomized controlled trial evaluating CBT effectiveness for refractory IBS and collaborates on modular CBT approaches for pediatric mental health. Recent publications focus on cost-effectiveness of CBT, telemedicine applications, and qualitative patient experiences.
Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, leveraging insights from psychology, medicine, and health economics. Current projects include developing scalable digital interventions for chronic illness management.
