Alice Leonard is a Research Fellow at Coventry University, specializing in the culture and history of error in early modern England. Her work bridges literary studies, textual criticism, and material culture. She holds fellowships from the British Library, Bodleian Library, and Swiss National Science Foundation. Leonard is Co-Editor of The Complete Works of Thomas Browne and Director of the Coventry Early Modern Grammar School doctoral project.
Her research interests include epistemological error in natural philosophy, travel narratives, and print culture. She has taught at Warwick University, University of Neuchâtel, and Warwick Business School. Notable projects include the Early Modern Bookspace monograph (Cambridge UP) and a British Library-funded study on colonial maps.
