Alexey Belyanin

Alexey Belyanin is a Professor of Physics at Texas A&M University specializing in semiconductor optics and laser technologies. He obtained his PhD from the Russian Academy of Sciences and previously served as a senior research scientist at the Institute of Applied Physics. His groundbreaking work includes developing the first Raman injection laser and achieving room-temperature operation of terahertz semiconductor lasers.

His research focuses on ultrafast/nonlinear optics of semiconductors, quantum devices, and terahertz technology applications. Belyanin has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers and received multiple research awards for his contributions to laser physics and optoelectronics.

He has chaired international conferences and delivered lecture series on semiconductor nanostructures, covering fundamentals and applications in modern optical devices.
