Alexandra Lewis is a Lecturer at Brooklyn College's Conservatory of Music within the School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts. She teaches music history, theory, ear training, keyboard, and performance courses while coordinating the keyboard and ear-training programs. Her research focuses on 19th- and early-20th-century music, particularly the works of Liszt, Ravel, and piano repertoire.

Lewis designed the keyboard and ear-training curricula and organizes collaborative performances, such as the 2018 all-Ravel concert tied to her seminar on Maurice Ravel. She advocates for contemporary music and incorporates "Reacting to the Past" pedagogy into her teaching, creating historical role-playing games since 2009.
As a leader in academic governance, she serves on multiple committees including the Conservatory's Deputy Director of Graduate Programs, Brooklyn College Committee for Graduate Academics and Standards, and the Conservatory of Music Academic Integrity Committee. She also administers keyboard placement exams and adjudicates the Conservatory Concerto Competition.
