Alexandra L. Aguirre-Berman

Alexandra L. Aguirre-Berman serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Flute in the Department of Performing Arts at Eastern Oklahoma State College while pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Northern Colorado. Her academic journey includes a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Music from New York University.

Her research integrates performance practice with technological innovation, particularly through her Wii-based movement monitoring system for flute technique. This work bridges embodied cognition and music pedagogy, emphasizing physical awareness in instrumental performance. Her artistic focus spans solo repertoire, chamber collaborations, and orchestral contexts within classical and jazz traditions.

As a founding member of Madera Winds and the Ambrosia Flute Trio, she maintains an active international performance schedule across flute and saxophone conferences worldwide. Her pedagogical contributions include masterclasses across five U.S. states and Peru, alongside competition adjudication.
