Alexander Turfe

Alexander Turfe, D.O. is an Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and a Pain Medicine Attending at DMC. He serves as faculty for the PM&R Residency and Pain Medicine Fellowship programs.

• Graduated from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Completed PM&R residency at RIM, serving as Chief Resident
• Undertook Pain Medicine Fellowship with DMC Anesthesiology Department

Dr. Turfe focuses on correlating comprehensive physical exams with diagnostic imaging to determine optimal procedures. He mentors residents and fellows, emphasizing case submissions to national conferences.

Outside medicine, he is an avid supporter of Michigan football and Detroit sports, enjoys exploring local restaurants, and visits the Detroit Institute of Arts, particularly favoring Impressionism Era exhibits.
