Alexander Gray

Alexander Gray is a Professor of Physics at Temple University, affiliated with the Department of Physics within the College of Science and Technology. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, particularly in-depth-resolved X-ray spectroscopic and scattering techniques, and femtosecond electronic dynamics. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Davis.

Key research areas include quantum materials, strongly correlated systems, and interfacial phenomena in oxide heterostructures. Gray’s group develops advanced synchrotron and free-electron laser (FEL) based methods, applying them to study novel materials and buried interfaces.
