Alex Dymock serves as Interim Head of Law at Goldsmiths, University of London, specializing in criminal law, sexuality, and drug policy. Their research examines bodily practices at the edges of legality, particularly regarding sex, drug use, and their regulation. They hold a PhD and have held positions at Royal Holloway, University of London prior to joining Goldsmiths.
Their current research investigates psychedelic-assisted approaches to sexual trauma within shifting legal landscapes. This work builds on their Wellcome Trust-funded 'Pharmacosexuality' project examining historical and contemporary relationships between drugs and sexual cultures. They have curated exhibitions on psychedelics and sexuality, including at the Museum of Sex in New York.
Their publications explore theoretical frameworks at the intersection of queer theory, criminology, and feminist jurisprudence, with recent work focusing on psychedelic humanities, acid feminism, and gendered dimensions of consciousness exploration.
