Isabell Dahms

Isabell Dahms is a Lecturer in Queer History within the Department of History at Goldsmiths, University of London, and a member of the Goldsmiths Centre for Queer History. Their research focuses on queer social movements, municipal histories in London, and intersections between gender, philosophy, and spatial relations.

Their research examines the relationship between queerness and public/domestic spaces, queer care histories, and coalitional practices through feminist and philosophical frameworks. They have published on topics including Adriana Cavarero's maternal inclinations, Sara Ahmed's queer orientations, and historical analyses of the English Collective of Prostitutes' 1982 takeover of Holy Cross Church. This work bridges conceptual tools from philosophy and historical activism.
