Alessia Invernizzi is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Konstanz, affiliated with the Department of Politics and Public Administration and the Graduate School of Behavioural and Decision Sciences. She holds the Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarship and serves as the PhD students’ representative on the departmental council and the foundation’s board. Her research focuses on trade policy, international political economy, and the role of strategic dependence in WTO disputes.
Education:

- Master's in Political Economy (University of Konstanz, 2019)
Research interests include trade policy, sanctions, EU trade dynamics, and industrial policy. Her work integrates quantitative methods like synthetic control analysis with geopolitical perspectives. She contributed to the European Commission’s DG Trade (2020) and co-taught courses on political economy and trade disputes. Recent publications explore EU-EMU comparisons through economic inequality lenses.
She received the Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarship for academic excellence and advocacy. She actively engages in academic governance and policy-related research collaborations.
