Prof. Dr. Matthias Oesch is a full Professor at the University of Zurich, holding the Chair of Public Law, European Law, and International Economic Law. His research focuses on EU-Swiss legal relations, European constitutional law, international economic law, and WTO dispute resolution. He co-authored influential works such as Schweiz – Europäische Union and Europarecht, and has extensively analyzed the EU-Swiss bilateral agreements, autonomous legal adaptation, and the role of the European Court of Justice in Swiss jurisprudence.
His recent publications include critical examinations of civil society engagement in Swiss EU policy, the erosion of EFTA trade autonomy, and the impact of EU fundamental rights on Swiss law.
