Alessandro Costantini

Alessandro Costantini is an Associate Professor at the Department of Comparative Linguistic and Cultural Studies, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, specializing in French Literature (SSD L-LIN/03). His academic career spans over three decades since joining Ca' Foscari in 1992, progressing from tenured researcher to his current position as Associate Professor of Francophone and French literatures and cultures.

His academic journey began with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from Ca' Foscari, followed by extensive study at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris where he earned a Diplôme and DEA in semiotics. His early work focused on 17th century French literature and semiotic theory before shifting to his current specialization in Francophone Caribbean and postcolonial literature.
