Alessandra Fasoli is a Part-Time Lecturer at Kingston School of Art, Kingston University, specializing in interdisciplinary design research. She holds an MArch in Architectural Design and a BA in Architecture Science from Roma Tre University. With a professional background in architecture, she has taught and researched at higher education institutions in Peru, Spain, Italy, and the UK since 2012.
Her research explores design anthropology, sustainability practices, and material cultures, with a current focus on the Techne DTP-funded project 'Sustainability in the Making: Craft Programmes for Eco-Social Change'. This graphic ethnography study examines how craft initiatives foster sustainability cultures. Her work intersects design activism, artisanship, local cultures, and environmental justice.
She co-founded the non-profit AK0 - architettura a kilometro zero (2009-2024), serving on its Board of Directors until 2020. She also contributes to the Fab Lab Roma network, promoting digital fabrication and community-driven innovation in urban development.
