Aleksei Grots (born 1988 in Moscow) serves as a Senior Lecturer and Accompanist at the Department of Wind & Percussion Instruments at Mozarteum University. He holds an MA degree and maintains an active international performance career alongside his academic responsibilities.
His research interests focus on diverse musical traditions spanning centuries, with particular expertise in historical performance practices and contemporary interpretation. Grots demonstrates exceptional versatility across classical, romantic, and modern repertoires, with special attention to works by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Brahms, Liszt, Ravel, Prokofiev, Bartók, and Schoenberg, as well as 17th and 18th century music and contemporary compositions.
Grots has established himself as a significant figure in the international music scene through his festival appearances and collaborative projects.

As an educator and performer, Grots maintains active collaborations with prominent musicians including Alexei Lubimov, with whom he has performed projects dedicated to Schoenberg, Schubert, Berg, and Ustvolskaya, and recorded Schubert's four-hand pieces. His performance career includes notable appearances at the Klavier Festival Ruhr, Festival für Zeitgenössische Musik in Baku, and Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival where he performed his arrangement of Berg's opera 'Wozzeck' in 2011.
