Alejandro Magallanes

Alejandro Magallanes is a Visiting Professor in the MFA in Graphic Design program at Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA). A multidisciplinary artist and designer from Mexico City, he combines letters and images through drawing, painting, collage, and book design. His work includes ten children’s books, three poetry books, and multiple artist books.

Magallanes emphasizes the emotional power of images over verbal descriptions, focusing on creating indelible visual narratives. His practice spans commissioned and self-initiated projects, with three monographs published in China, Spain, and Germany.
