Rachel Roske is an Associate Professor at Otis College of Art and Design, specializing in foundational art education. She has taught courses in painting, drawing, life drawing, 2-D composition, and art appreciation at institutions including USC Roski School of Art, Whittier College, and Pasadena City College.
- MFA in Painting/Printmaking from Yale University School of Art
- BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Her artistic practice focuses on painting and printmaking within contemporary visual arts. She has held residencies at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Vermont Studio Center, and Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, and has exhibited nationally.
Roske’s recent publications include a 2019 podcast episode on KCHUNG Radio discussing her work with Dustin Metz, a 2018 Curatorial Hub Blog interview, and a 2017 feature in the Los Angeles Review of Books Fall Quarterly Journal. These works reflect her engagement with studio practice, art education, and interdisciplinary dialogue.
She previously worked as an artist assistant for Kehinde Wiley and Jeff Koons, and has participated in exhibitions like A Stiller Life (2021) and a single set, a glass aswarm (2019). Her creative process emphasizes observation and material exploration.
