Alan Petersen is a Professor of Sociology at Monash University, specializing in health, technology, gender, and emotions. He holds external roles such as membership in the Strategic and Scientific Advisory Committee at La Trobe University’s Centre for Research in Health, Sex and Society. His research focuses on the sociology of health and medicine, emerging technologies, and sustainable societies. He teaches courses on the sociology of health, sustainable societies, and qualitative research methods.
