Alan Marcus is Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Connecticut's Neag School of Education and UConn Teaching Fellow. He holds a PhD from Stanford University, MAT from Boston University, and BS from Tufts University. His scholarship examines innovative approaches to history education.
Research focuses on:
- Holocaust and difficult history pedagogy
- Museum education practices
- Film as historical text
- Global education frameworks
Dr. Marcus directs education abroad programs and chairs Hartford's monument advisory committee. His publications include:
