Alan Durst is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at California State University, Fresno, where he teaches saxophone and jazz studies while directing the university's "A" Band. An internationally active performer and educator, he has appeared across North/Central America, Asia, and Europe.
- Education: D.M.A. (UCLA), M.M. (University of Miami), B.M./B.M.E. (Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory)
Performance Background: Collaborated with orchestras like New West Symphony and Korean-American Symphony, and performed at venues including Kennedy Center and Disney Hall. Co-founder of Panama International Saxophone Quartet.
Teaching & Outreach: Member of Idyllwild Summer Arts Faculty, with clinic/judging experience across four continents. Published through Dorn Publications Inc./Needham Publications Co.
