Alan Dunyo Avorgbedor is an Assistant Professor at the Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture, McGill University. His research focuses on African technicity, embodied spatiality, race and architecture, and post-phenomenology, examining how culturally embedded dwelling practices shape spatial and epistemological relationships in sub-Saharan Africa and the diaspora.
- Degrees: B.A. from Ohio State, J.D. from Fordham Law, and Ph.D. from Concordia University.
- Artistic Practice: Engaged in new media art, including audiovisual analog instrumentation, film-based photography, and modular synthesis, with a series of analog portraits exploring African and diasporic figures in architectural and spatial discourse.
