Akrum Helfaya is an Associate Professor in Accounting at Keele Business School, Keele University. He holds a BSc in Accounting from Alexandria University (Egypt), an MRes and PhD in Environmental Accounting from the University of Aberdeen (UK), and an MA in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education from Keele University. His academic career includes roles at Keele University since 2012 and prior positions at the University of Aberdeen and Alexandria University.

Recent research explores the intersection of governance structures and sustainability practices in diverse sectors.
