Akanksha JALAN

Akanksha JALAN is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance and Accounting at Rennes School of Business (France), holding the additional role of Academic Programme Director for the MSc in International Accounting, Management Control and Auditing. She holds a PhD in Finance and Control from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (2014), a Chartered Accountancy qualification (2009), and degrees in Commerce from Kanpur University (B.Com 2007, M.Com 2009).

Her research focuses on financial reporting quality, corporate governance, cryptocurrency markets, and corporate tax behavior. Notable contributions include studies on audit committee diversity impacts, corporate tax aggressiveness, and the systemic risks in cryptocurrency markets (e.g., FTX collapse analysis). She has been recognized for her work, including a prestigious All India 21st rank in Chartered Accountancy exams and gold medals for academic excellence.

JALAN has held roles such as Research Associate at IIM Bangalore’s Centre for Capital Markets and Risk Management, and adjunct faculty positions at institutions like Woxsen School of Business.
