Professor Omar Al Farooque is a Professor of Financial Accounting at the University of New England (UNE) Business School. He holds a PhD in Accounting from Victoria University of Wellington and has taught at multiple institutions, including the University of Auckland. His research focuses on corporate governance, sustainability, and accounting practices. He has received numerous teaching awards and led cross-disciplinary research teams globally. Key roles include Associate Editor for two Australian journals and Disciplinary Tribunal Panel member for CPA Australia.
