Ajit Mishra is a Professor and Head of Department in the Department of Economics at the University of Bath. His research focuses on governance, corruption, inequality, vulnerability, and poverty within development economics. He employs theoretical, empirical, and experimental methods to address systemic issues in corruption control and poverty measurement.
Key research areas include the conceptualization of vulnerability, the impact of inequality on economic systems, and the design of anti-corruption mechanisms. He has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to poverty eradication (SDG 1) and reduced inequalities (SDG 10).
