She serves as visiting faculty in the Department of Urban Design at the School of Planning & Architecture New Delhi and is the founder of Aishwarya Tipnis Architects (ATA), established in 2007. Her practice specializes in adaptive reuse and heritage-led design across South Asia, working with institutions such as The Doon School, Woodstock School, and Unison World School.
Dr. Tipnis holds a Master's Degree in European Urban Conservation with distinction from the University of Dundee, Scotland (2007) and is currently pursuing her PhD in Urban Design at SPA New Delhi, focusing on "Exploring the role of adaptive reuse in regeneration of derelict industrial sites in India". Her educational background is complemented by numerous prestigious recognitions:

- Commonwealth Professional Fellowship (2011)

Her research interests center on heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and urban design, with particular focus on industrial heritage sites in India. Her work demonstrates how historical structures can be thoughtfully adapted to serve contemporary needs while maintaining their cultural significance.
Through her firm ATA and co-founded social innovation enterprise Jugaadopolis (2019), Dr. Tipnis has created platforms for engaging youth with India's tangible and intangible heritage. She has served as a consultant to UNESCO, Asian Development Bank, World Monuments Fund New York, and various diplomatic missions including the Embassy of France and Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands in India.
Her notable projects include the Master Plan for The Lawrence School, Sanawar; Vision & Conservation Plan for Darbargadh, Sihor; and Conservation & Adaptive Reuse of Parker Hall at Woodstock School. Educational leaders have praised her work for its integration of cultural leadership and community activism, with Matthew Raggett (former Headmaster of The Doon School) noting how her work "reflects Architecture meets cultural leadership and community activism."
