Dr. Aishwarya P. Joshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling, Human Development and Family Science at the University of Vermont's College of Education and Social Services. Her work focuses on trauma-informed counseling, cultural competencies, and global mental health equity. She teaches graduate courses in crisis counseling, ethics, and multicultural practices. Dr. Joshi holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Idaho State University, an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Heidelberg University, and a B.A. in Journalism, Psychology, and English Literature from Garden City University, India.

Dr. Joshi advocates for inclusive policies and pedagogies to address systemic inequities in mental health and education.
Her grants include studies on rural telehealth, mental health in Kenya, and multicultural identity. She integrates experiential learning and a global perspective in teaching, preparing students to address complex sociocultural challenges.
