Dr. Brittany Wyche is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at Wake Forest University (WFU), where she contributes to teaching, supervision, and program development. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2021), along with an M.A. (2012) and dual B.A. degrees (2008) in Psychology and English from WFU.

Her research focuses on trauma-informed practices across counseling, education, and community systems, including trauma-informed supervision, Health at Every Size frameworks, and program evaluation in mental health settings. She explores intersections between family dynamics and mental health, eating disorder treatment, and mindfulness-based resilience strategies.
Dr. Wyche’s selected publications address trauma responses in clinical training, community mental health interventions, and the social impact of Family Justice Centers. She employs mixed-methods approaches to evaluate service delivery systems and advocate for marginalized populations.

As a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor, she integrates person-centered, trauma-informed, and humanistic frameworks in clinical practice.
