Dr. Ahmet Selim KADIOĞLU is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy and Sociology of Law, Faculty of Law, Ankara Social Sciences University. He holds a PhD in Sociology of Religion (2010) and an MSc in Philosophy and Religious Sciences (2003) from Marmara University, alongside a Law degree from Istanbul University (2012) and Theology training from Marmara University Faculty of Divinities (2000).

His research focuses on the philosophy and sociology of law, with particular attention to Islamic legal theory, state-society interactions, and legal modernization processes. Recent publications analyze Ibn Khaldun’s legal thought, Max Weber’s rationalization of law, and the evolution of Turkish-Islamic legal synthesis.
His scholarly work often intersects with historical sociology, ethical foundations of law, and comparative jurisprudence, emphasizing the dynamic relationship between legal frameworks and societal values. He has presented at international conferences, including the 3rd Selçuk Law Congress (2024) and the 4688 Law and 10th Collective Bargaining Congress (2022).
