Ayşe ŞALLI is an Associate Professor at Karabük University, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences. With a PhD in Sociology of Religion (2014) and an MSc in the same field (2006) from Marmara University, she specializes in the intersection of religion, migration, and modernity.

Her research focuses on the Sociology of Religion, particularly how religious institutions influence Migration Integration, Secularism, and Moral Values. She explores Syrian Refugee Adaptation in Turkey and the role of religion during Public Health Crises like the COVİD-19 pandemic.
Her recent publications span topics such as Religious Visibility in Pandemics, Eklektik Secularization, and Migration Theory. She has presented at international conferences like the Bilsel International Congress (2023) and the International Symposium on Art and Aesthetics in Islam (2023), where she served as a session chair.
ŞALLI advises two master's students and has contributed to editorial boards for journals like Bartın Üniversitesi İslami İlimler Fakültesi Dergisi (2024) and Külliye (2023). Her work includes a TÜBİTAK-funded project on family problems in Turkey (2025-2026).
