Dr. Ahmet S. Yayla is an Associate Professor at DeSales University within the College of Sciences, where he also serves as the Director of the Center for Homeland Security. His academic and professional work bridges terrorism studies, cybercrime, and homeland security.

Dr. Yayla's research focuses on terrorism, counterterrorism, and cybercrime, with specific emphasis on ISIS operations, terrorist defection, and intelligence structures. He has extensively studied radicalization processes and post-conflict scenarios for extremist groups.
His publications span 2007–2018, addressing ISIS's intelligence apparatus, cybercrime challenges, and de-radicalization strategies. Key works include analysis of the Reina Nightclub Attack and the role of defectors in countering extremist propaganda.
