Aggie Jooyoung Yellow Horse is an Associate Professor in Asian Pacific American Studies at Arizona State University's School of Social Transformation. Her NIH-funded research examines how social forces create health inequities for racialized communities, particularly Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders and Native Americans.
She teaches courses on Asia/Asian America, immigration, and health. Recognized for teaching excellence through the 2020 ASU Centennial Professorship Award, her recent publications analyze pandemic-era anti-Asian hate, racial justice movements, and health disparities through interdisciplinary lenses combining demography, ethnic studies, and public health.
