Adrienne Shaw is an Associate Professor in Temple University's Department of Media Studies and Production within the Lew Klein College of Media and Communication. She is also an affiliate faculty member in Temple’s Gender, Sexuality, and Women Studies program and served as the inaugural director of Temple's Graduate Certificate in Cultural Analytics from 2019 to 2024.

- 2011-2015: CYCLES project researcher (cognitive bias training games)
- 2018: Peabody Awards’ Board of Jurors for Immersive and Interactive Media
Her research intersects media studies, game studies, and queer theory, focusing on marginalized representation in digital games and media. She founded the LGBTQ Game Archive and co-curated Rainbow Arcade, the first LGBTQ game history exhibit.
Recent publications examine queer methodologies in documenting game content, player demographics, and critical information literacy in digital spaces. Her work bridges cultural analysis, game design, and media policy research.
