Adrienne Randolph

Adrienne Randolph, MD, MSc, is a Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School and Senior Associate in Critical Care Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital. Her research focuses on immunobiology of critical illness in children, particularly life-threatening infections and acute lung injury. She leads the Randolph Lab and founded the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigator’s Network (PALISI), a 80-site pediatric intensive care research consortium. Dr. Randolph holds certifications in Pediatrics and Critical Care Medicine from the American Board of Pediatrics.

• Professional History: Developed the PICFLU study group, received $13M+ in NIH/CDC funding, and contributed to landmark trials in JAMA/NEJM

Research interests include genomic pathways influencing disease severity, influenza infection mechanisms, and mechanical ventilation protocols. She advises Families Fighting Flu and ARDS Foundation.

Grants include NIH NIAID awards for influenza research and Genentech funding for lipid mediator studies. Recent work addresses pediatric sepsis criteria evolution and vaccine documentation accuracy.
