Adriana Cassis

Adriana Cassis is a doctoral researcher at the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE), affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, the University of Duisburg-Essen, and the University of Cologne. She specializes in international migration, political transnationalism, integration, and development in the Global South.

Education:

• M.A. in Development and Governance from the University of Duisburg-Essen (2020), thesis on circular migration governance.
• B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Universidad Casa Grande, Ecuador (2017), summa cum laude, thesis on online surveys for Ecuadorian migrants.

Her research investigates how migration reshapes political behavior and institutions, particularly among second-generation European migrants. She has contributed to academic discourse through publications on Ecuadorian political representation and gender dynamics.
