Adrian Davis OBE is a Visiting Professor at Anglia Ruskin University's Vision and Eye Research Institute, part of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care in Cambridge. His expertise spans epidemiology, public health, and healthcare analytics. He has driven NHS reforms in hearing services and pioneered newborn hearing screening programs in England.
His research focuses on the Global Burden of Disease, collaborating with the University of Washington. Notable roles include Director of Newborn Screening Programmes (2000–2010), Director of the MRC Hearing and Communication Group (2004–2013), and Deputy Chair of the Department of Health Physiological Measurement Board (2010–2016). He also held honorary professorships at Imperial College London, London School of Economics, and UCL.
Key achievements include translating research into NHS practices and advancing diagnostics through his work with the Department of Health's Diagnostics Committee. Awards include the OBE for his contributions.
Advising and grants: Professor Davis has advised on NHS procurements for hearing aids and led initiatives to modernize hearing services across the UK.
