Aditi Shastri

Aditi Shastri, M.B.,B.S. is an Associate Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, holding joint appointments in the Departments of Oncology (Medical Oncology), Medicine (Oncology & Hematology), and Developmental & Molecular Biology. Her research focuses on hematopoietic diseases, particularly myeloid malignancies like AML and MDS, with an emphasis on STAT3 pathway targeting, clonal hematopoiesis, and environmental health impacts.

• Environmental factors (air pollution) affecting myeloid malignancies

Recent publications highlight PD-L1 upregulation in JAK2/STAT-mutant AML, IL8/CXCR2 pathway inhibition in MDS/AML, and novel strategies against venetoclax-resistant leukemias. She collaborates with Dr. Amit Verma and leads a team including PhD student Mariapia Riso and postdoctoral fellows like Samarpana Chakraborty.
