Adina CLAICI

Adina CLAICI is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe, teaching in the European Economic Studies Department and European Law and Economic Analysis. She holds a PhD and is a Managing Director at BRG, specializing in competition economics with experience spanning academia, consultancy, and the European Commission’s DG Competition. Her expertise includes mergers, antitrust, state aid, and EU regulatory frameworks like the DMA.

She has over a decade of experience at the European Commission, serving as a senior member of the Chief Economist’s team and coordinating the European Competition Network of Chief Economists. Her research focuses on EU competition policy and regulatory developments, with publications in academic journals and book chapters. She also teaches at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.

Key achievements include contributing to European General Court hearings on mergers and state aid, and being recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a global leader in competition economics. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Romanian.
