Adina Akbik is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of European Politics at Leiden University’s Institute of Political Science and an Affiliate Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Centre. Her research focuses on EU institutions, political accountability in the euro area, migration policy, and European integration theory. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Central European University (2016). Before joining Leiden, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Hertie School (2017–2021) on the LEVIATHAN project, analyzing EU economic governance and legal/policy accountability mechanisms.
