Professor Adeeba Kamarulzaman serves as President & Pro Vice-Chancellor at Monash University, Malaysia. She is a distinguished academic and global health leader with extensive expertise in infectious diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and viral hepatitis.
Her research spans critical areas of global health policy, substance abuse interventions, and epidemic response strategies. Professor Kamarulzaman's work bridges clinical research with public health implementation, focusing on vulnerable populations including people who inject drugs and men who have sex with men in Southeast Asia. She has published over 400 research outputs that address complex health challenges in resource-limited settings.
Professor Kamarulzaman holds several influential global positions:
