Dr. Adebayo James Molehin is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology & Immunology at Midwestern University, holding appointments in the College of Graduate Studies, College of Veterinary Medicine, and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He joined Midwestern in 2021 after completing postdoctoral training at institutions such as QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His academic journey includes degrees from the University of Ibadan (Nigeria), University of Glasgow (UK), and University of Queensland (Australia).
Dr. Molehin's research focuses on schistosomiasis vaccine development, host-parasite interactions, and epigenetic modifications in schistosomes. He employs systems vaccinology and molecular parasitology approaches to identify protective antigens and understand immune responses. Collaborations span institutions in the US, UK, and Australia, including partnerships with PAI Life Sciences Inc. and the Schistosomiasis Resource Center of the Biomedical Research Institute.
