Adam Wunische is a Professorial Lecturer and part-time faculty member at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs. His expertise spans military effectiveness, terrorism, U.S. foreign policy, and pedagogy. He previously served as a military analyst at the CIA, focusing on Afghanistan and South Asia post-2021, and held roles at the Quincy Institute and International Institute for Strategic Studies. A former U.S. Army sergeant (2005-2010), he deployed twice to Afghanistan with the 3rd Special Forces Group.
Dr. Wunische holds a PhD in Political Science from Boston College (2021) and a BA in Political Science from Portland State University (2014).
