Adam Walsh is a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at the School of Behavioural and Health Sciences, part of the Faculty of Health Sciences. His research focuses on child health, parental influence on dietary and physical activity behaviors, and the implementation of public health interventions in schools and families. Walsh has contributed to studies examining paternal roles in postnatal depression management, school-based nutrition programs, and global surgical quality improvement initiatives.
His work emphasizes cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses of health behaviors in families, with a particular interest in obesity prevention and sustainable food education. Notable projects include the KiiDSAY program and the Food Education and Sustainability Training (FEAST) initiative, which engage children in promoting healthy behaviors within their communities. Walsh's collaborations span international studies, such as the EAGLE trial addressing surgical outcomes in 64 countries.
