Kevin Walsh

Dr. Kevin Walsh serves as a Lecturer in Nutrition & Dietetics Education at King's College London and holds an Honorary Research Fellow position at Imperial College London's Department of Medicine. His affiliations include the Centre for Translational Nutrition and Food Research.

His research focuses on severe nutrition-related conditions in children in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), particularly severe anaemia and severe acute malnutrition. Key methodologies include dietary assessment, metabolic profiling via 1H NMR spectroscopy, and gut microbial analysis. He contributes to major studies like the TRACT transfusion trial (dietary impact on anaemia recovery) and the MIMBLE randomized controlled trials (legume-enriched therapeutic feeds for gut microbiota support in malnutrition).
